How to measure feet at home

1. Find a flat surface where you can comfortably stand, ensuring there’s ample room for movement.

2. Stand barefoot with your heel against a wall and your weight evenly distributed. Maintain a natural stance with your feet flat on the ground and shoulder-width apart.

3. Place a ruler or measuring tape on the floor, aligning it with the edge of your heel. Extend the tape to the tip of your longest toe and record the measurement in millimeters.

4. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the widest part of your foot, typically across the ball of the foot. Note the measurement, ensuring the tape is snug but not too tight.

5. Use your measurements to determine your shoe size based on the brand’s size chart. Take note of any specific width measurements provided to ensure the best fit.

How to measure feet with the Brannock device

1. Sit comfortably with your legs uncrossed and feet flat on the ground. Ensure your heel is snug against the device’s heel cup.

2. Slide the movable bar until it rests against the tip of your longest toe. Read off the measurement indicated by the device’s scale.

3. Locate the width bar positioned across the ball of your foot. Adjust the width bar until it gently touches the sides of your foot, providing a snug fit without compressing.

4. Refer to the measurements indicated on the Brannock device to determine your recommended shoe size. Take note of any width indicators provided to ensure the best fit for your feet.

Hey Dude Sizing FAQs

Do Hey Dudes run big or small?

I think Hey Dude got the sizing wrong. I wear a size 9 normally and when I got these, my toes were right at the very end. Of course, as you wear them throughout the day, they kind of stretch out and they get a little bit more comfortable, so it’s not that big of a deal, but then I tried ordering a 10 and the 10 was definitely too big.

I also think they got the width a little bit off. I have a normal-width foot and these are wider than I expected them to be. I know that’s part of what makes them comfortable, but if you’re somebody that has a wide foot, maybe the normal width should do just fine. Overall, Hey Dudes do run big and you’ll need to size down.

Here’s another opinion on whether Hey Dudes run big or small…

Are Hey Dudes supposed to be tight?

While you want your Hey Dudes to feel secure on your feet, they shouldn’t be overly tight. Hey Dudes are designed to offer a relaxed and comfortable fit, so if they feel too tight, it might be worth considering a different size or style. Ultimately, your Hey Dudes should feel cozy and supportive without feeling constricting.

What size is a women’s 11 in men’s Hey Dudes?

In Hey Dudes’ women’s sizing, a size 11 typically measures at 10 5/8 inches, which corresponds to a men’s size 9.

Do Hey Dudes run big or small in women’s shoes?

Hey Dudes in women’s sizes do tend to run big, similar to their men’s counterparts. It’s often recommended to size down when purchasing Hey Dude shoes, as they typically offer a roomier fit.

Do Hey Dudes run in half sizes?

Hey Dudes are currently only offered in full sizes, meaning they do not come in half sizes.

Do Hey Dudes stretch out?

Hey Dudes are known for their comfortable and flexible materials, which may allow them to stretch slightly over time with wear. However, the extent to which they stretch can vary depending on factors such as the style of the shoe, the material it’s made from, and how often you wear them. If you’re concerned about stretching, it’s a good idea to choose a size that fits comfortably from the start.

Do Hey Dudes have a wide toe box?

Yes, Hey Dude shoes are known for their wide toe box and they do provide ample room for your toes to spread out naturally. This spacious design contributes to the overall comfort of the shoe and accommodates various foot shapes and sizes. The wide toe box may help prevent discomfort and allow for better airflow.

That pretty much wraps this Hey Dude size chart. If you still have any questions about Hey Dude sizing, make sure you drop them down in the comments.
